Lesson Not Learned

A man's brain contains a limited number of ideas; mine less than most I think.  Yet, here we are again breathing putrid life into this blog.  We don't do this for free of course.  According to Ad Sense I have a cool $9.55 sitting there just waiting for me spend on two or three 40 oz bottles of malt liquor.

As we look ahead to highly detailed opinion and analysis of our beloved Gophers, maybe it's time to remind you who we are and what we're about and maybe set some expectations.

Have you seen the movie Tremors?  If not, you should.  It's this kick-ass horror movie involving giant underground worms that burst through the ground and consume people.  It starred Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward.  It had Reba McEntire in it too!  IMDB gives it a 7.2 and it is a joyous ride.

Years later they released Tremors 2: Aftershocks.  Kevin Bacon was gone.  Reba too was gone.  Fred Ward remained, but it simply wasn't as good.  Still giant worms under the ground bursting forth and eating people, but the best ideas were already used in the first film.  It got a 5.9 rating and made an estimated $4 million where Tremors made over $60 million.  Are your expectations set now?  Good.

Here's a reminder of who we are.  Foremost, we hate Wisconsin.  Our 2011 Why We Hate series still stands (less a few internet images) today.  Pt 1, Pt 2, Pt 3.

More recently, we've given you (via the Twitters: @TREtanic and @FrothyGopher) more Wisconsin guerilla attacks:

Sure, it's childish buffoonery, but that's all we have at this point.  Oh, and hope I guess.
